Meeting someone famous might sound like a life-changing moment. But not all of us are as adept at behaving in a cool, calm, collected fashion (myself included).
When comedian Whitney Cummings took her fiancé Miles Skinner to a party full of famous people, he acted pretty chill to begin with, but things took a nose-dive when he met director J.J. Abrams.
"We sit down, the great J.J. Abrams comes and says hello to everybody," Cummings recalled to Jimmy Kimmel. "My fiancé goes cold and says, 'What's up, dude?' 'What's your name?'"
Kimmel asked Cummings if there was any chance her fiancé didn't know who Abrams was. "Oh, he knows. This is a man who stands in line to get into Star Wars movies," she explained.
"J.J., to his credit, was so sweet, he was like, 'I'm J.J. Abrams,'" said Cummings. "I think he's seen this before, people just start to emotionally melt down around him."
"Then, my fiancé couldn't stop there, my fiancé went, 'So, what do you do, man?'"
Oh dear.
