I'm not crying over Pedro Pascal as a savvy fox and Lupita Nyong'o as a friendly robot, you are.

What would happen if a high-tech robot was marooned on an island brimming with animals?

Based on Peter Brown's book, The Wild Robot follows the eponymous ROZZUM unit 7134 or "Roz" (voiced by Lupita Nyong'o). After a typhoon-caused shipwreck leaves Roz stranded on a seemingly deserted island, the robot begins to bond with the wildlife there, including a savvy fox called Fink (Pedro Pascal), a sassy opossum called Pinktail (Catherine O’Hara), and a tiny lost gosling (Kit Connor).

Written and directed by How to Train Your Dragon's Chris Sanders, The Wild Robot looks to be a pretty beautiful animated story about the connection between humans, robots, and animals.

The rest of the voice cast is just as stacked: Stephanie Hsu plays fellow robot Vontra, Bill Nighy plays goose Longneck, alongside Mark Hamill, Matt Berry, and Ving Rhames.

The Wild Robot hits cinemas Sept. 27.
