If you're someone who wishes that Amiibo were a little more useful in games, Nintendo has a pleasant surprise for you. 

First, you will need to touch a Wolf Link Amiibo to the Wii U gamepad following the completion of the Cave of Shadows in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Then do it again in Breath of the Wild, the next Zelda title coming sometime in 2017, which Nintendo showed off in a gameplay trailer at E3. 

After that, a digital Wolf Link will join you on your journey. Nintendo, however, left one of the most important questions unanswered:
