Companies that use wood as a core material for bike frames are popping up everywhere. According to Nikolas Panagis, one of the crafters of GP Bicycles, wood has the natural ability to absorb vibrations throughout the ride. Sometimes a suspension system is not even necessary. That makes the riding experience more pleasant and gentler on your body.

Wooden bicycles can be very expensive, but for many enthusiasts, riding an elegant, unique bike with a natural touch is worth the money. The only drawback seems to be the weight, with most of these bikes weighing more that 22 lbs. There are even some e-bike options like the Bough Bikes "E-Bough" as well as wooden bicycles designed for kids, like the ones Coco-mat.bike is making.
