After Battle for Azeroth, World of Warcraft is heading in a new direction with the expansion Shadowlands.

WoW players may recall the game's third expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, which saw the fall of the Lich King Arthas in Northrend. Arthas was replaced by another person, Bolvar Fordragon, but now Sylvanas has come to tear the crown from his head and, in doing so, appears to have ripped a hole in reality. This can't be good for Azeroth.

We will be entering the Shadowlands — the land of the dead. Blizzard revealed a handful of new things players can expect in the expansion, including new zones, new enemies, and new dungeons and raids.

Blizzard did not give us a release date, but with Battle for Azeroth coming to a close, it can't be far off.
