Ultimate Zelda superfan rigs smart home to respond to ocarina

Zelda fan Allen Pan has taken home automation to the next level.

Pan set up his home so that different automations are triggered when he plays tunes from the Nintendo 64 hit Zelda: Ocarina of Time on his own ocarina. It's amazing not just for the fan dedication, but for the amount of work that went into the project.

The video walks viewers through how Pan set the whole thing up, using note recognition, his own coding, and lots of wires.

But it's all worth it to unlock the front door with "Zelda's Lullaby" or water plants simply by piping out "Minuet of Forest."

It's a little more complicated than "The Clapper" but way more fun.
