Amazon aired its first-ever Super Bowl commercial on Sunday night to shine the spotlight on its Amazon Echo, a part-speaker, part-smart-home gadget. When actor Alec Baldwin asks voice assistant Alexa how many championships Dan Marino has won, she responds with "zero."

But if you ask Alexa the same question via an Amazon Echo in real life, you'll get a playful clarification from Dan Marino himself.

The question: "Alexa, how many Super Bowls has Dan Marino won?"

Alexa: "Dan Marino has won zero Super Bowls. Isn't that right, Dan?"

Marino: "Sure, but no other quarterback has more passing yards on Monday nights, no other quarterback has more completions on Monday nights, and no other quarterback has more touchdown passes on Monday nights."

Well played, Amazon. Check out the back-and-forth in the Twitter video above.

The Super Bowl ad, which features not only Baldwin and Marino but also Jason Schwartzman and Missy Elliott, received a healthy dose of online approval when it aired after the halftime show. But it also confused Amazon Echoes at home, which -- in some cases -- heard and responded to the ad's request phrase "Alexa."

Some Twitter users reported the gadget's top blue light illuminated, indicating the Amazon Echo heard the request phrase and was listening for a command.
