PASADENA, Calif. -- Don't expect to binge watch season two of Master of None anytime soon.

Showrunner and star Aziz Ansari said at Sunday's Television Critics Association that the team behind the hit Netflix show is still "figuring out" what they want to do for the next installment of the series.

"We haven't really talked about it [the format of season 2]," Ansari told Mashable following the TCA panel. "I think we just want to push ourselves to do something interesting and to really top what we did. I think that's the goal, however that gets accomplished, whatever format will do that. I think what's great about the show is we've established we can play with things a bit, and it's not just such a rigid structure...that's helpful."

The 10-episode first season, which debuted on Netflix in November, follows 30-something actor Dev (Ansari) and his group of friends in New York City. Ansari serves as the show's writer and director, as well as its star. Alan Yang co-created the show.

It was inspired by a mix of Ansari's stand-up comedy, content from his book Modern Romance: An Investigation and actual events that happened to him years ago (including getting asked to do an Indian accent, which was depicted in the "Indians on TV" episode).

"We don't want to rush season two because we want to go through some live experiences to put in the show," Yang said during the presentation.

Luckily, Ansari and Yang said Netflix is the "dream partner."
