LONDON -- Christmas is probably the only day in Britain when large numbers of people don't flock to fish and chip shops, but one establishment on the coast of Bridlington is hoping to change that.
Going one further than the London chip shop that's selling battered Brussels sprouts is Audrey's Fish & Chips, which is selling both battered parsnips and battered Christmas puddings this December.

"We are always looking to put a twist on our traditional menu whether it's for charity or just for fun," owner James Morrison told Mashable.
The lightly battered Christmas puddings are served with ice cream or brandy sauce. The East Yorkshire chips shop began selling them on Monday.
