Hear that, mom and dad? When your kid tells you his crazy dream, maybe just let him go with it.

“Once upon a time there was a freckle-faced little boy who told his mom and his dad that one day he was going to work at Walt Disney Animation, and they did something amazing -- they supported him, and they believed in him," said Don Hall, while accepting the Best Animated Feature Academy Award for Big Hero 6 with co-director Chris Williams.

Disney's tale of a boy and his robot beamed its way into the Academy's hearts, picking up the big trophy on Sunday night over DreamWorks' How to Train Your Dragon 2, which became a favorite after winning the Golden Globe.

Big Hero 6 -- the futuristic story of robotics prodigy Hiro, his friends and puffy robot pal Baymax -- stars Ryan Potter as Hiro, Scott Adsit as Baymax, and fills out the cast with their friends, played by T.J. Miller, Jamie Chung, Damon Wayans Jr. and Genesis Rodriguez. (And Hiro didn't even have parents.)

So when your kid says she wants to be a filmmaker, maybe save the "You need a backup plan, you're going to law school" speech for after they've taken a shot at it?
