RIM has rolled out a new Facebook update for BlackBerry smartphones (version 3.2), featuring a more personalized look and support for birthday alerts and events.
The update -- which will be available for download in its BlackBerry App World later on Thursday -- makes the app more personal for each user. For example, it replaces the standard profile icon with your most current Facebook profile picture.

In addition, it can provide birthday reminders of Facebook friends on the home screen of the mobile device, even without opening the Facebook app.
