A Boston area man is taking the holiday Elf on the Shelf tradition to truly disturbing places, offering to be an IRL version of the toy at your events and parties for the low, low price of $100 an hour.
"I will come to your holiday party dressed as the Elf on the Shelf and sit in any location you assign me while I stare emptily at your guests for the duration of the event," the man wrote in an ad on Boston Craigslist.
Because nothing says "'Tis the season" quite like a large stranger in a onesie staring at your friends and family for hours on end.
