Instagram users have made the fountain in New York City's Bryant Park a top spot for selfie tourism, as below-freezing temperatures left it frozen in an icy bliss.
The iconic Josephine Shaw Lowell Memorial Fountain, dedicated in 1912, has so much ice that its pink granite is actually threatened by the weight, with the icicles "putting undue strain" on its large bowl. "The strain is endangering the structural integrity of the fountain," officials say on the park's blog.
To help, they'll be chipping off pieces of the ice and stopping the flow of the water until it's warm out -- so get your selfies now before it's too late. Like these folks.
