Sweater season is officially upon us. As the nights draw in, most of us will be donning chunky cable knits; only this time we’ll be wearing them on our nails.

This year, the hottest (or, should we say cosiest) winter look is cable knit nails. Nope, we’re not talking about mittens or knitted falsies, but cable knit patterned gel nails.

The cable knit pattern is created using gel polish and textured with a dotting tool.

If you’re feeling brave enough, you can definitely give this a try at home. But, for those of us prone to chipping and creasing, it might be best to leave it up to the professionals.
