When you're gathered around the Christmas tree with your loved ones, it's time to banish moderation to the back of your mind and indulge your sweet tooth.

These cookies have all the basic food groups: Twizzlers, sprinkles and Nutella.

Feel free to go rogue and use Nutella as frosting on the outside of the cookie, too.

Put the finished cookies in the fridge for half an hour if you want the outside frosting to harden and the Nutella to have a creamy, truffle-like consistency.

That is, of course, assuming you can wait that long to eat these treats.

Never fear, The Basic Kitch is here.

First you get the cookie dough

Spread the Nutella to make a sandwich

Add the handle, icing and of course, sprinkles!

BONUS: Watch the previous episode of The Basic Kitch: You'll love these tater tots latkes.
