If you're still pining for a return of Firefly, then you might be able to get your fix in the online game based in its universe.

In an announcement at San Diego Comic-Con Thursday, it was revealed that the the entire main cast of the short-lived show -- which only ran for a season on Fox in 2002 -- will reunite to voice their characters in Firefly Online. Actor Nathan Fillion, who played Captain Malcolm Reynolds, even appears in the game's first trailer, viewable above.

Firefly Online is a massive multiplayer game where each player becomes captain of his or her own ship and builds a crew. Not much additional information is available about the game, which was announced at last year's Comic-Con. It is "coming soon" and will be available for Windows, Mac and mobile devices.

Since Firefly's abrupt cancellation, fans -- called Browncoats -- have tried in various ways to bring the show back. If only this had all happened 10 years later, so it could have maybe had a lifespan similar to Community.
