For those with regal tastes and less-than-regal bank accounts, consider a cheaper alternative to a bespoke hat: a bespoke hat made from your own hair.

Russian hairstylist Georgiyi Kot has a quick tutorial showing how a fascinator made from human hair comes together:

Good evening my dears , the New Year is coming soon very rare I like my works but sometimes I can't believe that I did it ! What do you think about this work ??? I have tears in my eyes when I think and understand and I want to thank God that He gives us life in which we can be happy !!! From what we can tell, a proper hair hat involves back-combed hair, artful fanning and a positive attitude on the part of your gracious model. All that, and what we estimate is likely two cans of hairspray.

Follow Kot's lead, and you'll look right at home in the front row at a royal baby baptism.
