Instagram and the iPhone are changing the way professional photograhers are doing their jobs -- and top editorial stock photo sites are taking note.

Photographer Nick Laham captured New York Yankees players using Instagram on his iPhone and Getty Images thinks the shoot is top notch. The photo site licensed Laham's Instagram shots and they're available for editorial use.

With limited space for a photo shoot, Laham set up his lights in the a bathroom at the Yankees Spring Training facility in Tampa, Fla. He took photos with his iPhone and his normal camera.

"This was not my choice, I wasn’t given the option of studio or bathroom stall and decided on the latter," Laham said on his blog.

The iPhone is the most popular phone used on Flickr. The iPhone has its benefits -- it is easy to store and takes high quality photos. However, the iPhone can't compete with the Nikon D4, a $6,000 camera that takes 16.2-megapixel shots.
