Former first lady Barbara Bush -- known by her family as "The Enforcer" -- starred in a video message Friday for her son Jeb Bush's presidential campaign.

In the 30-second spot, she says Bush, who has been trailing in the polls, "has real solutions, rather than talking about how popular they are, how great they are."

The video could be interpreted as a thinly veiled swipe at Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump. Trump, of course, had some feelings about this.

"Just watched Jeb's ad where he desperately needed mommy to help him," Trump tweeted. "mom can't help you with ISIS, the Chinese or with Putin."

But late Friday night, Bush fired back with a forceful response, tweeting a photo of the former first lady sporting eye black and shoulder pads.

"I'd be careful Donald," Bush tweeted.

The photos are from a shoot that Bush did with Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt for an event fighting illiteracy.

Your move, Trump.
