The most popular time for reactions was at the start of the show, as many users checked in on GetGlue, followed by when Don's new wife Megan sang "Zou Bisou Bisou" and when Peggy gave Megan advice for Don's surprise party.

When looking at the TV season overall, Glee's Sept. 20, 2011 premiere received 289,000 comments. In 2012, the Grammys and the Superbowl were bigger than the Mad Men premiere as well.

According to TV response analyst Bluefin Labs, Mad Men received more than twice the social buzz of any other drama that premiered in 2012. Alcatraz, which made its debut on Jan. 16, received 43,000 comments; Smash, which premiered Feb. 6, received 56,000 comments; and GCB, which premiered Mar. 4, received 21,000 comments.
