Two days before announcing her split from her husband Blake Shelton, Miranda Lambert cried live on stage.
She broke down during her song "The House That Built Me," a song that was originally written for Shelton.
Lambert stopped singing entirely, letting her fans carry the song for her while she regained her composure.
The song is more emotional than Lambert's typical strong style. In fact, she's a contender for one of the best artists to listen to during a breakup.
Here are a few of the angry, powerful breakup hits that could give her strength in this difficult time:
1. Mama's Broken Heart
Getting a haircut always helps me through breakups -- so why not cut your own bangs with some rusty kitchen scissors?
2. Somethin' Bad
Nothing can possibly make you feel more confident than getting into trouble alongside Carrie Underwood.
3. White Liar
Be as dramatic as possible when calling out a liar.
4. Girls
Great for remembering you only belong to yourself.
5. Nobody's Fool
Excellent reminder that it's okay to cry, but ultimately you are in control of your life. Also, the cover of this album is Lambert standing in front of a car that's engulfed in flames. That's power.
6. Kerosene
For those days you feel like literally burning everything to the ground.
7. Fastest Girl in Town
If catching things on fire isn't really your thing, maybe just drive really fast.
8. Crazy Ex Girlfriend
Sometimes, throwing things is a great coping mechanism. Stay away from stalking, though.
9. Over You
I know that this is the saddest song ever written, but sadness is a part of the grieving process. It's important to deal with those feelings. Also, this song won Lambert like, a million awards. She should be able to listen to it and feel supremely powerful.
10. Gunpowder & Lead
The breakup song to end all breakup songs. It's angry, it's empowering and it involves explosions. Put it on repeat, Miranda.
