Amy, Asif Kapadia's film about the late singer Amy Winehouse, won Best Documentary Feature at the Oscars Sunday -- adding another statue to the director's cabinet following his Bafta win earlier this month.

But not everybody was happy to see the film receive the accolade. Amy Winehouse's father, Mitch -- who's long been vocal about disapproving of the film -- was not impressed at the win, and tweeted his dismay Monday morning UK time.

"Always proud of my baby," he wrote. "Amy will not get an Oscar though. Just Asif Kapadia. That is what this is all about...Asif. He's fooled everybody."

In a follow-up tweet he wrote: "I am not changing my stance just because film won Oscar. It's a negative, spiteful and misleading portrayal of Amy. We will fix this."

Mitch Winehouse is not portrayed particularly favourably in the film about his daughter's life. In one section, he's shown turning up to St Lucia where Amy is trying to recuperate with his own film crew.

He struck back at the documentary in May last year, telling ITV that "the film is representing me in a not very good way. There is no balance, there's nothing about the foundation. It's portraying me and my relationship with Amy in not a very good light."

He's also addressed the film on Twitter several times in recent weeks, promising his followers that "other projects" are in the pipeline and saying that Amy "will not be the defining image" of his late daughter.

My friends. This film will not be the defining image of Amy. We are already working on other projects. I can't say more at this stage.— mitch winehouse (@mitchwinehouse) February 21, 2016

While Kapadia is congratulating himself on this sham of a film, Amy is helping more and more kids. That's the only reward we want.— mitch winehouse (@mitchwinehouse) February 24, 2016
