On the eve of the country's Republic Day, a group of eight Indian sports luminaries have come together to sing the national anthem in a music video called "The Sport Heroes" to encourage kids to pursue sports along with academics.
The cast includes hockey player Dhanraj Pillai, cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar, tennis players Mahesh Bhupathi and Sania Mirza, shooter Gagan Narang, wrestler Sushil Kumar, and footballer Baichung Bhutia. The video has been directed by Abhijit Panse and produced by cricketer Nilesh Kulkarni's International Institute of Sports Management.
