7 reasons Neville Longbottom should have been the Chosen One

Though Harry Potter was famously the Chosen One, another character -- the introvert of the bunch -- could easily have taken Potter's title.

That clumsy nerd was Neville Longbottom.

See, Professor Trelawney's first prophecy -- that Voldemort would mark the Chosen One as his equal -- applies to both Potter and Longbottom, as both were born in late July, "as the seventh month dies." Though Voldemort ultimately chose the titular character, had he randomly selected Longbottom instead, he would have been tasked with taking down the Dark Lord.
