LONDON -- The Sturgeonator briefly paused her usual duties earlier this week to help out with a marriage proposal.

Nicola Sturgeon was visiting the town of Oban in Argyll with the Scottish cabinet. She was asked by a man, she names as Paul, to propose to his boyfriend, Ian, and the first minister obliged, posting the special moment to Twitter.

The proposal took place at a public meeting in the town's leisure centre, where she and other ministers were answering people's questions, according to The Scotsman.

In a later tweet, Sturgeon said she was delighted to report that Ian said yes.
