LONDON -- There is no end to what a superfan will do and thank God, because otherwise the world would not be blessed with gems like this.

Dave Oldbury, a postman from Southampton, has turned his home into a shrine. A shrine for Star Wars. A shrine for Star Wars that the public can stay in. May the force be with him.

The 46-year-old mega fan, who has spent around £150,000 ($228,196) collecting memorabilia from the sci-fi franchise, is opening his holy ground to the public. Charging only £35 per night, Oldbury offers like-minded fans a glimpse at his 3,000 strong (plus 500 more in the garage) collection and lifetime's worth of memories.

"I became a fan of the franchise as a schoolboy after watching the first film in 1977 when I was 8 years old," Oldbury explained. "Since then, I’ve scoured the world in search of meeting cast members from the various films. I have lots of stories to share from hanging out with my heroes and I look forward to giving my guests the inside scoop!”

Whether a night at the Star Wars shrine is your thing or not, Oldbury told the BBC there are four rules that must be obeyed:

1. Droids must have their restraining bolts on at all times.

2. Lightsaber usage restricted to outdoors only.

3. Don't use the side passage. That path leads to the Dark Side...

4. Always let the Wookiee win.

All completely understandable.

If you haven't been tempted by the prospect of Oldbury's stories and - did we forget to mention - life-size Stormtroopers, here are a few photos to awaken the force within you.

And if you weren't content with that, here's a tour from the man himself.
