Count on the Internet to restore your faith in humanity.

The GoFundMe campaign to raise money for a kidney transplant to benefit the father of Internet-famous Success Kid has reached its $75,000 goal after just one week of fundraising. It's currently on track to reach $100,000 with eight still left to go.

The success of the campaign means that Success Kid's dad, Justin Griner, and his family will have enough money to cover the cost of the transplant and various pre-medications not covered by Medicare.

Justin has been battling kidney disease since 2006 and experienced full kidney failure in 2009. His wife, Laney Griner, started the GoFundMe page without mentioning her Internet-famous son. But word broke out, and the Griner family experienced what it's like to go viral in a positive light for a second time.

Here's hoping a Success Dad meme is born out of all this.
