It's not everyday you get to be thrown by a wrestling legend, or get to make your U.S. television debut on Jimmy Fallon.

Australian pop sensation Troye Sivan did it all on Tuesday -- making a statement with a debut U.S. television performance of his single "Youth" on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, which also featured house band The Roots on the drums.

WWE's John Cena absolutely ruined Sivan, who declared he was Cena's inner child. In the skit, Sivan had to be destroyed, so Cena could become an adult again -- apparently.

But don't get too worried folks, it's just a fake plastic-looking figure of Sivan -- he'll be back in Australia in January where he'll perform rescheduled concert dates, which were cancelled in November due to illness.

Sivan also talked about the making of his latest album, Blue Neighbourhood, in a behind-the-scenes video for Fallon.

All a day in the life of one of pop's fastest rising stars.

The Fallon appearance caps off a stunning ascension for the YouTube star; he started his YouTube channel in 2007, where he uploaded videos of himself singing. In August 2012, he uploaded his first vlog -- and gained popularity when he came out online in a video in August 2013.

Since then, he has been signed with EMI and released his hugely-successful EP TRXYE in 2014 -- including the single "Happy Little Pill," which earned him rave reviews and legions of dedicated followers. In October, Sivan performed sold-out dates across North America.

This Aussie is one to keep a very close eye on.
