Hours after an Amtrak train crashed in Philadelphia, killing six people and leaving dozens injured, Donald Trump tweeted about the incident, claiming he's the only one who can "fix" the country's infrastructure.

Another 144 of the 243 people on board the train were injured in the crash, which happened on Tuesday night near the 2200 block of Wheatsheaf Lane in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

The outburst has been met with tweets saying he is being opportunistic and is using a tragedy to promote his own political agenda.

The only one to fix the infrastructure of our country is me - roads, airports, bridges. I know how to build, pols only know how to talk!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 13, 2015

Remember, politicians are all talk and NO action. Our country is a laughing stock that is going to hell. The lobbyists & donors control all!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 13, 2015

People have been quick to call out the real estate developer and reality television personality, known for expressing his controversial views on all sorts of topics on Twitter.

Ugh. @realDonaldTrump uses Amtrak derailment to promote his (fake) presidential campaign. Gross: pic.twitter.com/wpGN3KXvsw— Angelo Carusone (@GoAngelo) May 13, 2015

.@realDonaldTrump Glad to hear you’re donating money to Amtrak victims, and putting up displaced travelers & first responders at your hotel.— Quinn Sutherland (@ReelQuinn) May 13, 2015

Shame on you @realDonaldTrump Turning a tragedy into a soapbox for your political ranting....shame on you. https://t.co/1kEb12zgTb— Jim Allison (@jimallison) May 13, 2015

Trump, who has been talking about running for president since 1987, has been mentioned as a possible candidate in the 2016 race, although he could again decide he's just too committed to his day job.
