The most underwhelming images of the solar eclipse

Solar eclipses are rare events, so it's only natural they should cause more than a little excitement.

Sadly, though, sometimes mother nature refuses to play ball.

Friday's eclipse was blocked for many by clouds, and Twitter was awash with mundane works of art as #anticlimax started trending.
