Police in Ireland are hunting a gang that made off with a haul of Jameson, Jack Daniels and gin bound for the Christmas market in a heist that happened in broad daylight.

Police made an appeal Monday to the public asking them for help to track down the daylight robbers who raided a warehouse in an industrial complex on the outskirts of Dublin.

2,580 cases of Jameson, each holding six bottles, an undisclosed number of cases of Bombay Sapphire Gin and a similarly undisclosed number of cases of Jack Daniels made up the total heist, which police said happened last month.

Up to five robbers, armed with iron bars, threatened two workers in the warehouse on Nov. 14, forcing them to open up the loading bay, before tying them up and using two 40-foot trucks to move the booze.

The robbery happened in the space of an hour between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m..

It's been estimated that the total value of the alcohol stolen is worth around €1 million ($1.2 million).
