Icy, Slushy and All Around Yucky: This Storm May Ruin Thanksgiving

A massive storm system that started in California and made its way through the Rockies, the Southwest and Texas is now headed for the Northeast, carrying with it high winds, ice, snow and record-setting rain in some areas.

When the storm continues its trek through upstate New York and into Canada on Thanksgiving Day, it will have affected more than 58 million people in the U.S., downing power lines, icing roads and threatening holiday travel.

The interactive map above highlights some of the most ravaged areas, from the Rockies to the Northeast Corridor, including snowfall counts, record-setting rains, violent winds and 14 deaths. Mashable will continue to update this map as more information becomes available. Check back as this is a developing story.
