11 times brands were the greatest trolls on Twitter in 2017

Someone hack your account?

Most of the time, brands are on social media to answer your concerns. But sometimes, they can surprise you with the comeback of a lifetime.

Brands used Twitter to do more than just promote their products this year. Their platforms also produced the funniest comebacks and the most shadiest tweets to their competitors. And sure, we shouldn't really be celebrating a company's PR strategy. But a good clapback is a good clapback.

From Netflix to Hamburger Helper, 11 brands didn't shy away from roasting the hell out of each other in 2017.

1. Hamburger Helper taking down a sexist dude with just one question

Ouch! Did that burn sir?

2. DiGiorno Pizza pulling out past receipts of Papa Johns

The shade is real. DiGiorno Pizza trolled the delivery competitor after they blame NFL for declining sales.

3. Netflix's message to Hulu's promotional dig

Leave it to Netflix to use their own original content against their competitor.

4. Burger King shading a certain fast food clown

Don't worry Burger King, we know exactly who you're talking about.

5. Hot Pockets burning a hater with one simple question

Hot Pocket is a straight-up savage.

6. Dairy Queen showing off how much confidence they have

There's no telling the fast food chain otherwise.

7. Reebok's shading a certain President with a powerful message

The athletic footwear and apparel company showed a sense of class some can't emulate.

8. Square getting involved in a Twitter fight with a fart account

Square replied to this now deleted tweet, which read: "is 'make a financial corporation look hip and trendy' what you thought you'd be doing with your college degree."

Even financial brands have the step in and lay out their own line of comebacks.

9. iHOP vs. Denny's: The fight against the best pancake house

There can only be one winner, and we're pretty sure it's pancakes.

10. Totinos hates Twitter suggestions and meme critiques

Totinos isn't new to the Twitter game, so it's no surprise the pizza rolls company had a quick comeback to a customer's meme critique.

11. Moonpie shading Hostess with two simple words

Moonpie might take the throne for best troll tweets of 2017. The sassy marshmallow sandwich isn't afraid to tell it like it is.

2017 proved celebrities aren't the only ones to have some fun on social media. Lets hope 2018, bring out even more brands (we're looking at you Coca Cola) to speak their mind.
