Dear Facebook's 2016 'Year in Review' videos: no one wants you.

Sorry, but it's true. We all woke up tired this morning, reached for our phones and were slapped in the face with the annual compendiums.

That's not cool. Especially because 2016 sucked.

Each year, Facebook attempts to deliver users a positive, nostalgic flashback of events that occurred within the past 12 months. And each year, users are left unsatisfied.

From dredging up bad memories to bringing back that embarrassing pic that only your mom liked, TBH the painful uncomfortable slideshows are a bit cringeworthy. Not to mention the fact that for the next week your Facebook newsfeed will be cluttered with Year in Review videos your friends are sharing. Yay.

During this tough time, all you can do is take comfort in knowing you're not the only one dreading these 2016 horror films. Rest assured, people get where you're coming from and are quickly closing out of Facebook to complain on Twitter.

In case you're still dying to relive 2016 after all of that, you can find your Year in Review here, but don't say we didn't warn you.

And as for Facebook, in the words of Fall Out Boy, thanks for the memories even though they weren't so great.
