The tech world moves fast. Really fast. Yesterday's hot new hype is today's utter obnoxiousness.

There are no tech etiquette rules written in stone, but if you are any bit of a sane human being, you'll pick up on them.

Below are six things you should never do if you want to avoid becoming the neighborhood #techdouchebag.

You May Also Like

1. You never get off your hoverboard

Hoverboards are over. Mashable chief correspondent Lance Ulanoff refuses to let them die. Hoverboards, which I will remind everyone, don't even hover. They were goofy from the beginning and then when they started catching fire and exploding... well, let's just say good riddance. Don't be that person still riding one today.

2. You wear more than one wearable

Companies keep telling us wearables, fitness trackers and smartwatches are the next big thing! Yeah, some are kind of cool, but nobody should be wearing more than one at any given time, though. Nobody. What are you even doing with all that data anyway? Will it help you become a superhuman and outlive everyone? One is enough.

3. You use an iPad Pro to take pics

We've all heard this saying before: The best camera is the one you have on you. That camera is usually your phone. And while it's convenient to have a camera on your tablet, you should definitely make an effort to not use it to take pics in public unless you want to look like a compete idiot. And whatever you do, don't use your tablet to take pics at a concert. Just don't.

4. You're still wearing Google Glass

Sorry Glass diehards, but like hoverboards, Google Glass is so over. It was dorky when it launched and it's dorkier if you're still wearing it. Until someone makes a computer on your face look cooler, be warned: People will want to punch you in the face.

5. You use a GoPro to film everyday things in your life

GoPros were made to film extreme sports. Vloggers, however, are now using them to film everything. And we mean everything. Ugh.

6. You have your phone on blast in public

When you're in a public place, you need to respect the people around you. Otherwise, we're no better than cavemen. Don't be like this guy manspreading and playing with his phone with the volume cranked to 11. Have some respect for yourself and others, bruh.

BONUS: Hoverboards are douchey. Period.

And just because one Vine to express how douchey hoverboards are wasn't enough...
