Whether it's Snapchat or iMessage, doodling is one of the more creative ways to enhance the photos you share in messaging apps. But no matter how big our phone screens get, drawing with your finger can be clumsy and awkward for anything more than a simple smiley face.

Adonit thinks it has a solution with its new Bluetooth stylus that was created with Snapchat and other messaging apps in mind.

Called "Snap," the $34.99 stylus has a 1.9mm tip that Adonit says is among the smallest currently available. Though the 1.9mm size is the same as many of the company's other styluses, it's a big part of what supposedly makes the stylus perfect for Snapchat and other apps. Generally, the smaller the stylus tip, the finer your illustrations can be, particularly on smaller smartphone screens.

The stylus itself is magnetic so you can easily clip it onto the back of your phone when you aren't using it and it charges via USB (no word on battery life yet.)

Sketching aside, the Snap stylus is Bluetooth-enabled so it will also work as a remote shutter for your phone's camera. While it may not replace your selfie stick entirely, it could help you snap better selfies in a pinch. (Unlike some of Adonit's other stylus offerings, the Bluetooth functionality doesn't extend to specific sketching apps.)

The stylus goes on sale Tuesday, Oct. 11, and is available in three colors: white, black and -- of course -- rose gold.
