Amazon Prime Video is adding several new original movies and TV shows to its library this December.

Among upcoming movie options are sci-fi thriller Encounter and Lucille Ball biopic Being the Ricardos. Multiple TV comedies are premiering this month, like With Love and Harlem. And it's a bittersweet time for fans of The Expanse — the sixth and final season begins December 10.

Here's everything coming to Amazon Prime Video this December.

Top pick: Being the Ricardos

Nicole Kidman takes on the role of comedy icon Lucille Ball in Being the Ricardos. Written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, the film takes place over one critical week in Lucille and her husband Desi Arnaz's lives. Journey behind the scenes of their groundbreaking sitcom I Love Lucy, as the film's central couple faces attacks on their personal and professional lives.

How to watch: Being the Ricardos is in theaters Dec. 10 and streaming on Prime Video Dec. 21.
