John Cleese is leading tributes to Andrew Sachs, his beloved co-star in Fawlty Towers who died on Thursday, aged 86, after battling dementia.
Cleese played the bullying hotelier Basil Fawlty, while Sachs took on the role of Spanish waiter Manuel in the sitcom.
He was described by Cleese as a "very sweet, gentle and kind man" and "I could not have found a better Manuel":
