A YouTube video claiming to be from hacker collective Anonymous is calling for "total war" on Donald Trump, urging followers to attack the Republican front-runner's websites.

"What we see is deeply disturbing," says one Anonymous member in the video, posted on March 4.

"Your inconsistent and hateful campaign has not only shocked the United States of America," the person says. "You have shocked the entire planet with your appalling actions and ideals."

The person continues with a "call to arms," urging supporters to join "Operation Trump" and launch cyberattacks on trumpchicago.com, the website for Trump’s hotel and condominium tower, on April 1 -- perhaps notably, April Fools' Day.

"We need you to shut down his websites, research and expose what he doesn't want the public to know," the person in the video says. "We need you to dismantle his campaign and sabotage his brand."

The video began to circulate more widely this week after it was cited Monday in International Business Times.

If legitimate, it marks the second time Anonymous has targeted Trump.

In December, after the candidate said he wanted to ban all Muslims from entering the United States, Anonymous released a video and launched attacks on TrumpTowerNY.com, a website for Trump Tower in New York, as a "statement against racism and hatred."
