Apple's iPhone 8 comes in gold, but everyone's calling it pink
The new iPhone 8 color looks pretty pink, even if Apple isn't calling it that.
The latest handsets were revealed Tuesday at the Apple event at company headquarters and they come in silver, space gray and a third with a "gold finish."
But it certainly looked pink.
"We have huge iPhone news for you today," CEO Tim Cook said before the new phones were shown on the big screen.
It didn't take long for everyone, whether watching online or at the venue itself, to decide that the gold phone is really a pink phone.

Moments later, the iPhone X was revealed, but that phone only comes in silver and space gray. So no debates about pink/gold for that new phone.
Back in 2015, Apple brought rose gold into the mix. That was a decidedly pinkish hue, as the name suggested. This time around Apple is straying from reality, calling the new color option a "gold finish."
It makes sense the iPhone 8 would add this color; millennial pink is so trendy. Embrace the pink, Apple.
