Just when you thought you had a handle on life and could at least make a decent cup of coffee you realize you have been making your coffee with inferior water.

Daily Coffee News reports Aquiem is here to take your coffee to the next level with its purified water meant specifically for brewing coffee.

Aquiem water undergoes a stringent purification process and only the minerals that amplify coffee flavors are added back to the finished product. Though Aquiem may be consumed like regular drinking water, it's specifically engineered to enhance coffee, including cold brew coffee.

Aquiem partner Rob Vidacovich tells Mashable, "Coffee drinkers are becoming increasingly aware that coffee is 98% water and that the composition of the water used in the brewing cycle has a huge effect on the quality and consistency of the final product [...] Our challenge is to make consumers aware that finally there is water available that has been specifically blended to significantly enhance their coffee experience."

Vidacovich sees the ideal consumer as luxury hotels with in-room coffee and people who, "tend to spend more on quality beans and grinding/brewing equipment in order to achieve the best cup of coffee possible."

Aquiem is currently available on its website for $25.68 USD for a shipment of 12 one-liter (recyclable) cartons, though it is also for sale in some Louisiana grocery stores.

Though this product is niche, sales of bottled water itself is on the rise and coffee has always been the stuff of both trends and devoted fans.

Will the coffee-loving public flock to specialty coffee water? Only time, and quite a few cups of joe, will be able to tell.
