Do not come for Armie Hammer's film, or he will come for you—especially if you have a questionable love life yourself.

That was a very specific lesson James Woods hopefully learned when the actors engaged in a tense exchange online Monday, after Woods criticized the love story within Hammer's critically acclaimed film Call Me by Your Name.

“As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency. #NAMBLA," Woods wrote, speaking about age difference between Hammer's character, a 24 year-old and 17-year-old played by Timothée Chalamet in the film. Woods also took the effort to tag the North American Man/Boy Love Association—an organization which advocates for pedophilia.

Hammer was not here for it, and in one no-frills tweet, came for Woods by bringing up the actor's dating history.

"Didn't you date a 19 year old when you were 60......?" Hammer wrote, referencing Woods' penchant for dating women nearly 50 years younger than him. Reports over the years have suggested Woods dated a 20 year old while he was 66 years old.

Actress Amber Tamblyn also chimed in supporting Hammer with her own story. "James Woods tried to pick me and my friend up at a restaurant once. He wanted to take us to Vegas. 'I'm 16' I said. 'Even better' he said," she wrote on Twitter.

She later pulled up a screenshot of a text message conversation to confirm the authenticity of her story. "Since I know people love to question the integrity and honesty of women when they come forward with stories like this, here you go," she wrote.

Woods hasn't responded to Tamblyn or Hammer's tweets explicitly, but in tweets following the incident, spoke about trolls and praised Hammer's acting skills.

Call Me By Your Name opens in theaters on Nov. 24.
