It's rare for a brand to really a nail a product on its first try, but Sonos aced it (sorry) with the Ace headphones. Our biggest complaint? The steep $449 price tag. It's a good thing Sonos knocked the list price down to $399 — and even better that it shaved an extra $100 off during back-to-school season.

As of Aug. 14, you can grab the Sonos Ace headphones for only $299 at Amazon. That's a savings of 25%, or $100 off the current list price. That also matches the headphones' Prime Day price and is only $4 away from their best price ever.

The Sonos Ace headphones were three years in the making and, while other brands may have slightly better noise cancellation, Mashable's tester Miller Kern said, "Sonos wins when it comes to sound quality." Beyond incredible sound, they also score a 10 out of 10 in the looks department, offer great spatial audio, will last you up to 30 hours per charge with ANC turned on, and are supremely comfortable. As Kern put it, "No exaggeration, these are the most comfortable over-ear headphones I’ve personally tried."

Sonos recently announced that, thanks to President Donald Trump's tariff policies, Sonos products are about to get pricier. In other words, if you've been eyeing the Sonos Ace headphones, now's a good time to grab them. The $100 discount is just the icing on the cake.
