If you thought you had seen all the baby animals, think again. This little lady will melt your entire heart into a puddle of mush.

Louise the koala was found by local resident Louise Haynes on the ground in a chicken pen in Hawkes Nest, Australia after wild storms lashed the east coast of the country. Haynes called her local koala rescue, HKPS Koala Care and Rescue, to come and help.

Louise's new carer, Sue Swain, wrote on Facebook she believed the baby koala had fallen from a tree and her mother was hanging out above. But trying to get the attention of the mother, probably drunk on eucalyptus leaves, proved fruitless.

"A koala was in a tree above who we assume was mum but after an hour of the Joey calling from the base of the tree the koala was unresponsive. Didn't even wake up for a look," Swain wrote.

The survival of Louise, who only weighs 356 grams, is pretty crucial due to a drastically declined koala population in the region. Swain has been keeping her warm, doing feeds throughout the nights and checking her health.

"The Hawkes Nest koala population is considered on the brink of extinction so this little female is very precious. So there is a lot of pressure to get her back home," Swain wrote.

"She is very reluctant with her feeds but it is early days and all a bit foreign yet. Here's hoping she does well. Please cross your fingers for her survival. She is very small and her survival will need all the help we can provide."

In honour of this little treasure, here's a collection of all the photos we could find. It's a good day.
