Barack Obama was just spotted in New York City and people treated him like a rockstar

He's back!

To everyone who silently begged for Barack Obama's return from the sunny British Virgin Islands: today is your lucky day.

The former president of the United States is officially back, and made a surprise appearance in New York City to the delight of the city's civilians.

Obama stopped by a building in Fifth Avenue for an unknown reason and upon leaving, was met with cheers from a crowd outside.

Sunglasses and coffee in hand, he waved at those gathered on the sidewalks before ducking into a black car and whisking away.

He's back, baby.
