High school baseball team can name coach's baby after winning 14 games
PSA: If you let a high school baseball team name your baby, the name will probably be baseball related.
That's exactly what Palm Bay, Florida, coach Rob Querry is learning this week, after promising the Heritage High School Panthers they could name his unborn child if they won 14 games. And win 14 games they did.

The Panthers were a long shot to achieve their goal -- when Querry proposed the deal, they hadn't won a single game.
But the desire to name a human child is a powerful one, and the Panthers pulled through with the first winning season in team history.
Querry's wife originally thought nothing of the bargain.
"They hadn't won any games yet, so I just decided to go with it and see how far they got," she told Fox 35 Orlando.
"Benny Smalls," named after, yes, Scotty and Benny "The Jet" Rodriguez from beloved childhood baseball movie The Sandlot, is due in September. David Evans, who wrote the film, even dropped by the pitch to celebrate.
If young Benjamin ever asks about his name, his mother plans to tell him to Google it.
