Everyone remain calm and sit perfectly still. The dirt clod cannot see us if we don't move.

During the bottom of the 5th of Sunday's game between the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Colorado Rockies, a solitary clump of dirt on the pitcher's mound brought two teams of grown men, umpires included, to a standstill.

The dirt clod ate up a mind-boggling five minutes. It was first was assessed, then picked up by infielder Jean Segura, then shoveled away by the grounds crew, at which point the remaining hole was deemed unacceptable by Diamondbacks pitching coach Mike Butcher, which finally led the area to be re-dirtified and raked smooth by the grounds crew.

And to think, streakers get tackled to the ground in a matter of seconds.

Shoutout to the fan who, speaking on behalf of everyone at 0:20, screamed "GET OVER IT."
