A rude bear refused to leave a residence, and only retreated after being punched in the face.

According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, a bear entered a home in Gibsons, Canada on Saturday. Elery Froude and her two young children, Camden and Ivany, were home at the time, and only noticed the bear when 2-year-old Ivany alerted his mother by saying, "Mom, look!"

The bear then roamed around the home as Elery and her two children hid in a bedroom. According to the cops, the bear drooled all over the family's dining room table.

A family friend came over to help and started banging pots and pans in an attempt at scaring the bear away. Eventually, the friend and the bear were in a standoff, with the bear standing half inside the house and half out.

The badass Canadian friend punched the bear in the nose, causing it to retreat outside, and was finally able to shut the sliding glass door. The bear then began to claw and bite at the door and screen.

Police arrived and managed to briefly scare the bear away using air horns and by throwing water bottles at it. The bear returned a short while later and attempted to open the family's garage. It then chased a man down the street, who was fortunately able to seek safety in his truck.

Police coordinated with Conservation, and it was decided the bear was aggressive and lacked fear of humans. Sadly, the RCMP euthanized the bear, which was later determined to be a male, weighing approximately 220 to 250 pounds.

Thankfully, no humans were injured during the incident.
