Several reported dead in courthouse shooting in Michigan
Several people have been killed in a shooting at Berrien County Courthouse in southwest Michigan, according to local media.
Two bailiffs from the court and the shooter are dead following the incident, WWMT reports, which began shortly after 2:30 p.m. local time.
Berrien County Sheriff Paul Bailey confirmed the deaths to WSBT television and added that a deputy sheriff was also shot but is in stable condition at Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.

Michigan State Police secured the area at around 3:30 p.m. local time, according to Michigan Governor Rick Snyder.

Footage posted to YouTube showed emergency services rushing to the scene.
The motive for the attack is currently unclear. Local reports suggest that a man on his way to jail took a gun from a deputy and started firing.
