Beyoncé's 'Lemonade' may be a Tidal exclusive forever

EARLIER: Just about everyone freaked out when Beyoncé surprise released her new visual album Lemonade Saturday, but not everyone will get to hear it.

The album, her sixth studio effort, was released exclusively to the subscription streaming service Tidal, which is co-owned by her husband, Jay Z.  Beyoncé's plan for now is to keep it as a Tidal streaming exclusive indefinitely -- possibly forever -- an industry insider told Mashable.

So far, the album is not available to download, and no plans have been announced for a physical release.

Tidal was the exclusive home of Kanye West's The Life of Pablo for a month and a half before it was ultimately released to other streaming services.
